Storz & Bickel VENTY Vaporizer

The Storz & Bickel VENTY, MIGHTY+ and VEAZY all heat with a combination of convection and conduction, cover 40–210 °C and have a 1.4 cm³ ceramic-coated filling chamber. The VENTY offers adjustable airflow up to 20 l/min, the MIGHTY+ a display and pass-through charging, and at 134 g the VEAZY is the lightest model.

All three devices come from the same family and share many fundamentals. The differences lie in the details: heater generation, airflow, controls, battery and weight. This comparison is based exclusively on information from storz-bickel.com and the official Storz & Bickel Help Center. You can find all of the brand’s devices in our Storz & Bickel collection.

What is the difference between the VENTY and the MIGHTY+?

The VENTY uses a new mini heater, heats up in about 20 seconds according to the manufacturer and has adjustable airflow up to 20 l/min. The MIGHTY+ works with the proven heating block, needs about 60–70 seconds, has a fixed airflow of 10 l/min and can be operated while charging with a suitable power adapter.

  • Heating system: Both combine convection and conduction. In the VENTY this is handled by a newly developed, patented mini heater; in the MIGHTY+ by the patented hybrid heating block.
  • Airflow: On the VENTY you adjust the airflow with a dial with three detents (low, medium, high – up to 20 l/min). The MIGHTY+ has 10 l/min with no way to adjust it.
  • Controls: Both have an LC display with plus and minus buttons. Only the VENTY can additionally be connected to the S&B Web App via Bluetooth. According to the manufacturer’s comparison, the MIGHTY+ has no web app control.
  • Charging: Both charge via USB-C and reach about 80% in 40 minutes with the Supercharger. The MIGHTY+ supports pass-through operation with a power adapter that supplies at least 15 V at 3 A; the display then briefly shows “dct”. The VENTY does not support pass-through because it draws more than 100 W during operation.
  • Form factor: The VENTY is a slim, elongated device (252 g), the MIGHTY+ a wider, flat housing (242 g).

* The product and comparison pages state a width of 4.7 cm, the technical overview in the Help Center 5.5 cm. The manufacturer gives the VENTY’s heat-up time as about 20 seconds on the product and support pages, and as “from 17 seconds” on the comparison page.

How do Booster and Superbooster work on the three devices?

All three start with 180 °C as the factory base temperature. Double-clicking the on/off button activates the Booster (+15 °C), and a further step activates the Superbooster (+30 °C above the base).

  • VENTY: Double-click for Booster; double-click again while in Booster for Superbooster. A double-click in Superbooster returns to the base temperature.
  • MIGHTY+: Double-click for Booster, triple-click for Superbooster.
  • VEAZY: Double-click after reaching the base temperature for Booster; double-click again after reaching the Booster temperature for Superbooster.

After 90 seconds, all three automatically return to the base temperature. On the VENTY and VEAZY you can adjust the base, Booster and Superbooster values in the web app; on the VEAZY, the app also allows setting the temperature to the exact degree and a “Permanent Boost”. According to the manufacturer, the app is not required for basic operation on any of the devices.

Is the VEAZY a cheaper VENTY?

No, technically the VEAZY is a device in its own right. It shares the mini heater, temperature range and filling chamber size with the VENTY, but differs in airflow, battery, power, controls and weight.

According to the manufacturer, both have in common:

  • patented mini heater with convection and conduction
  • 40–210 °C, base temperature 180 °C, Booster and Superbooster
  • ceramic-coated filling chamber with 1.4 cm³
  • USB-C, control via the S&B Web App, no use while charging

Differences according to the manufacturer:

  • Airflow: VENTY adjustable up to 20 l/min, VEAZY fixed at 10 l/min
  • Heat-up time: VENTY approx. 20 s, VEAZY approx. 40 s
  • Battery and power: VENTY two batteries and max. 130 W, VEAZY one battery and max. 36 W

Storz & Bickel itself describes the VEAZY as a colourful, easy-to-use and highly portable device, and the VENTY as the most powerful model with more settings in a larger form factor.

Can you use the VENTY and VEAZY with dosing capsules?

Yes. The VEAZY comes with a dosing capsule, and the manufacturer explicitly recommends it for easy filling. Dosing capsules can be used with the VENTY but are not included; according to the Help Center, they can reduce the airflow.

The original Storz & Bickel dosing capsules are listed as “suitable for all devices” and are intended for single use. A dosing capsule is also included with the MIGHTY+. This is how to fill the chamber without a capsule according to the manual:

  1. Turn the cooling unit 90° anticlockwise and remove it.
  2. Fill the filling chamber to the brim with ground material; do not overfill and do not press it down firmly.
  3. Put the cooling unit back on and turn it 90° clockwise.

Cooling unit and wear parts: when should you replace them?

Storz & Bickel does not specify a fixed replacement interval. What matters is the condition: according to the manufacturer’s instructions, you should dispose of and replace parts with damaged surfaces, cracks, softening, hardening, embrittlement, soiling or discolouration.

For each of the three devices, the manufacturer offers its own wear parts set (“Wear & Tear Set”) to renew the cooling unit:

  • VENTY: 3 mouthpieces, 1 cooling unit, 3 O-rings Ø 9 × 1.5 mm, 1 screen set, 2 filling chamber tools, 1 cleaning brush
  • MIGHTY+: 3 mouthpieces, 1 cooling unit, 1 screen set, 2 filling chamber tools, 1 cleaning brush
  • VEAZY: 1 cooling unit, 3 mouthpieces, 3 sealing rings, 2 small normal screens, 4 small coarse screens, 1 cleaning brush, 2 filling chamber tools

For the MIGHTY+, the manufacturer describes a simple leak test if hardly any vapour is produced:

  1. Clean the cooling unit and filling chamber according to the manual.
  2. Remove the cooling unit and close the air inlet with your finger.
  3. Draw through the mouthpiece: if air still flows, the cooling unit is probably leaking and should be replaced.

According to the manufacturer, most parts and accessories fit both the MIGHTY and the MIGHTY+. Exceptions are power adapters and the 12-volt car charger.

How do you clean the VENTY, MIGHTY+ and VEAZY?

Switch the device off, disconnect it from the USB-C cable and remove the cooling unit and the filling chamber screen. Clean the housing only with a dry or slightly damp cloth. For the VENTY, the manufacturer lists these steps:

  1. Clean the filling chamber screen and the cooling unit screen with the cleaning brush after every use.
  2. For a thorough cleaning, place all parts of the cooling unit in warm dishwashing water for at least five minutes or in isopropyl alcohol for up to 30 minutes.
  3. Rinse all parts under running water for at least one minute.
  4. Let all parts dry completely before reassembling them.

Before switching on, any fumes from cleaning agents or disinfectants must have fully evaporated. Only moisten cotton swabs slightly. More on this in our guide How to clean a vaporizer.

What does the manufacturer say about the battery and charging safety?

You should fully charge each device before first use. After charging, when not in use, before cleaning or maintenance and during thunderstorms, switch the device off and disconnect it from the mains.

  • Only use compatible, undamaged cables and power adapters; the manufacturer recommends its own accessories.
  • For the VEAZY, Storz & Bickel recommends a USB power adapter with 5 V / 3 A (15 W).
  • According to the manufacturer, the ECO charging mode in the web app (VENTY, VEAZY) is gentler on the battery.
  • Only operate at an ambient temperature of 5–35 °C; do not cover the ventilation openings, not even while cooling down.
  • Let the MIGHTY+ cool down completely before storing it.

Which Storz & Bickel vaporizer heats up the fastest?

According to the manufacturer, the VENTY, at about 20 seconds to 180 °C; the comparison page states “from 17 seconds”. The VEAZY needs about 40 seconds, the MIGHTY+ about 60–70 seconds. Battery level and ambient temperature can affect the time.

Can I use the VENTY or VEAZY while charging?

No. According to the manufacturer, neither supports pass-through charging. For the VENTY, this is due to its power consumption of more than 100 W during operation. If you need this, the MIGHTY+ with a Supercharger of at least 15 V / 3 A is the right model.

Can the MIGHTY+ be controlled with the app?

No. According to the manufacturer, the S&B Web App supports the VEAZY, VENTY, CRAFTY, CRAFTY+ and VOLCANO HYBRID. You operate the MIGHTY+ directly on the device via the display and buttons, including switching between °C and °F.

Is a power adapter included?

No. The VENTY and VEAZY come with a USB-C to USB-C cable, the MIGHTY+ with a USB-C to USB-A cable. Storz & Bickel offers the USB-C Supercharger for the VENTY and MIGHTY+ separately.

Do MIGHTY spare parts fit the MIGHTY+?

According to the manufacturer, most parts and accessories are interchangeable between the MIGHTY and MIGHTY+. Exceptions are power adapters and the 12-volt car charger. With third-party accessories, always check the explicitly stated compatibility.
